Unsure about ACSI Forum? Don't know what it's for? Or how to join? This is the page for you.

What is ACSI Forum?

How do I join ACSI Forum?
     How do I register?
     How do I participate?

What ACSI Forum is

ACSI Forum is an example of what is known as a discussion group. It's a chance for Australian Christians who support Israel to exchange views, ideas, questions and answers on issues that matter to them and are relevant to the Arab-Israel conflict.

Let's say someone at work or in your church asks you a question about Israel that you don't know how to answer. You can go to ACSI Forum and ask what the other members would say in a similar circumstance.

Likewise, if someone you know expresses an opinion about Israel, or about Christian Zionism, or about anything to do with the Arab-Israel conflict that you feel is wrong, but you don't know the best way to correct your friend, you can turn to ACSI Forum to help you find the answers.

ACSI Forum members will do their best to answer your questions, usually by pointing out some facts you may not have been aware of, or by pointing to a relevant verse from the Bible.

It's a way we can all help each other help Israel.

How to join ACSI Forum

Joining ACSI Forum is really easy. Clicking here will open up another window and take you to the Forum. When you want to leave the Forum, or come back to the main ACSI site, just close that window.

Finding your way around

When you first go the ACSI Forum, you'll be greeted by the main ACSI Forum page. Here, there are numerous categories, such as 'Arab-Israel Conflict,' 'Media in Australia,' etc. In each category you'll see a list of topics (some categories only have one topic). By clicking on a topic name, you'll be taken to another list, this one of all the discussions within those topics. For instance, if you click on 'Current Events,' which is the first topic under the category 'Arab-Israel Conflict,' you'll see a list of discussions. Each discussion will have a name (under the heading 'Subject') and a few other facts. Clicking on the subject name will take you to another page. This one is the discussion itself. The initial entry is there, along with all the subsequent replies. Have a look round - it's fun. If ever you feel lost, just scroll up to the top of the screen and click the button that says 'HOME.' (It's in a whole line of buttons that say, from left to right, 'HOME,' 'HELP,' 'SEARCH,' 'LOGIN,' 'REGISTER.') The HOME button will take you back to the main ACSI Forum page.

Posting a message

If you see a message that you want to reply to, or if you want to start your own discussion, you'll first have to register as a user. Near the top of the page is a message that reads, 'Welcome, Guest. Please login or register.'

Click register. You'll be taken to a page where you'll be asked to fill in a few details.

Registering

Why do I have to register?

ACSI Forum is designed for Christian Zionists, and those genuinedly interested in Christian Zionism, to help and support each other in our efforts to advocate for Israel. By making people register, ACSI is able to know which people are making which comments. Why do we need to know this? In case someone enters ACSI Forum and starts making comments that are offensive or otherwise inappropriate, we can ask those people to change the way they make comments, or block them entirely. The ACSI Forum administrator will know your e-mail address when you register, but no one else has to. We'll show you how to ensure your e-mail address is hidden to other people. And you can be assured that ACSI will not pass your e-mail address on to anyone.

Username

The first thing you have to enter is a username. You don't have to use your real name here. In fact, we encourage you not to. Rather, use a nickname, or make one up, such as 'Israel Supporter!' or 'Zionist.'

E-mail

Next, enter your e-mail address. If ever you forget your username or password, this is where a remainder will be sent. Next to where you enter your e-mail is where you can choose to hide your e-mail address from the public. Tick the box and your address will be hidden.

Password

Now you have to choose your password. Make sure it's something you'll remember, as you may be asked to enter your password the next time you go back to the ACSI Forum. No one, not even the Forum administrator, will be able to know your password.

Once you've completed the visual verification, you're ready to start typing!

Participating in ACSI Forum

Replying to a discussion

If you want to add your two cents to an ongoing discussion, click 'REPLY,' on the top-right of the discussion, and start typing. When you're finished typing, click 'Post,' which you'll find underneath the area where you type. Once you've posted something, you can modify or delete what you've written by clicking the appropriate buttons.

Starting a new discussion

If you want to start a new discussion. Click the topic that it's most relevant to, such as 'Current Events,' which is a topic in the 'Arab-Israel Conflict' category. On the right hand side, above the list of discussions, click 'NEW TOPIC,' and start typing. Make sure you give your topic a subject name.

Good luck!

If you have any questions at all, just e-mail ACSI.
